The Stripe billing portal is a hosted page where you self-serve everything about your Construction Scope subscription — separate from the customer payments side, which uses Stripe Connect. Two different Stripe products that share the same dashboard URL but do different things.

What you can do there

Update card, change billing address, view and download past receipts, cancel the subscription, switch plans, add a backup payment method. Plan switching also goes through here if you prefer Stripe's UI to ours — same end result, just a different button to click.

The portal is hosted by Stripe directly (URL on stripe.com), so the styling matches Stripe's branding. Your data is the same as what shows in Construction Scope's Billing screen; the portal is just a self-service interface around Stripe's billing layer.

How to open it

Billing → Open Stripe portal. A short-lived link is generated; you can bookmark the destination page, but the URL itself expires after a session (~10 minutes of inactivity). If the bookmark stops working, just re-generate from the Billing page — takes one click.

Receipts and invoices

Stripe stores every invoice for the lifetime of your account. Download as PDF for your bookkeeping. Each receipt includes the Stripe transaction ID, which your accountant may need for reconciliation with your bank statement.

Stripe doesn't auto-email receipts by default. If you want auto-emailed receipts on every charge, enable Customer email receipts in the portal under Email settings.

What's NOT in the billing portal

Customer-paying-you transactions don't live here — those are in Stripe Connect under Construction Scope → Settings → Payments → Open dashboard. The Stripe billing portal is only about your relationship with Construction Scope; the Stripe Connect dashboard is about your relationship with your customers.
